"Here is an interesting fact for you, there is NO secular opposition to gay marriage. It is all religious based." Really, then I guess I just imagined this website link then www.robgagnon.net/SecularCase.… I also musta imagined all the others ones that say similar things.
"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion,—as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen [Muslims],—and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan [Mohammedan] nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."
Sorry but this is an incorrect statement. in the constitution it states 'freedom of religion' these means people are free to choice late in it they have 'seperation of church and state' which means government can not support or make laws based on ANY religion.
But not founded it. The Founding Fathers saw the church as a threat to personal liberties. So they made sure to install laws that will prevent religion from taking over into the constitution. Which many fundamentalist in America seem to ignore a lot.
